Service Plans

Many of our marina partners provide Wi-Fi Internet access free-of-charge to transients or slipholders. At other locations, we offer daily, weekly, and monthly service plans for residents and their guests. Daily plans expire after 24 hours, weekly plans expire after 7 days. Monthly plans automatically renew on the same date each month (but you can turn off automatic renewal at any time).

We also offer Private Wi-Fi networks for residents. With Private Wi-Fi, you'll receive a small device called a wireless client that provides the following:

  • Connects multiple devices to the Internet simultaneously (your laptop, smartphone, and game system, all online at the same time)
  • Includes an Ethernet port for connecting devices that aren't wireless
  • Improves your wireless connection by using more transmit power
  • Uses 802.1x data encryption to protect your privacy

Your wireless client will be delivered via same-day messenger or next-day UPS, depending on when we receive your order.

Marine Wireless Bridges

If you're having trouble maintaining a strong Wi-Fi connection because of your distance from the nearest access point, you may be interested in our Marine Wi-Fi products.

Our MWB units feature powerful transmitters that work independently of your built-in Wi-Fi. You can connect one computer, or a whole network, using our MWB-200 or MWB-250.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm moving, how do I close my account?

If you don't have any of our equipment, simply click the button at left labeled Turn Off Auto Renewal and provide your account information. When your current month of service ends, your account will become inactive and you won't be charged again.

If you do have equipment from us, please return it to Port Networks in person or through a traceable carrier. When we receive your returned equipment, we will turn off automatic renewal for you.

Why doesn't my username/password work?

If you can't get past our sign-in screen, one of the following may be the reason:

Open Invoice Please check your inbox (and spam folder) for a message from us on your last renewal date, confirming your payment

Open Session If you already have a device connected, your username and password won't start a second session (you will need Private Wi-Fi network for simultaneous sessions)
Wrong Username Please confirm that you are entering your full username (including a domain, for example user@portnetworks.net)
Wrong Password If you entered a password longer than 12 characters, use only the first 12 characters when signing in
"Stale" Sign-In Please refresh the sign-in page on your computer by trying to get to an outside web site (e.g. google.com or yahoo.com)
"Looped" Sign-In If you have entered the URL of our sign-in page in the address bar of your browser, or have set it as your home page, your browser will return to the sign-in page after a successful sign-in.

How do I connect a different device to the Internet?

Our daily, weekly, and monthly service plans support one connection at a time. By upgrading to a Private Wi-Fi network, you can connect multiple devices simultaneously. Otherwise, you can switch from one device to another by disconnecting the first device from our network, waiting 5 minutes for the session to close, and signing on with the second device.

Do I need to sign-in every day I use the service?

No, you can bypass the sign-in screen by using 802.1x authentication, which stores your username and password on your computer, with encryption. Click here for instructions on using 802.1x authentication.

Am I under contract?

No, you may turn off automatic renewal on your account at any time. When your current month of service ends, your account will become inactive and you won't be charged again.
